About this page

Welcome! Hello, my name is Boe Mathewson, and I'd like to welcome you to the Learning activity page.. Here you can find links to all of my Learning Activities and the corresponding tasks. These are the websites I've been learning. The purpose of this page is to increase both my range of knowledge and my depth of understanding of the subject matter.
Learning Activities
-
1-1 Learn About HTML: Curbside Thai
This learning activity, Curbside Thai, was entertaining and the first time I've written HTML code in this class. I reviewed and learned new concepts pertaining to HTML's basic structure, Blockquotes, elements, address elements, break tag description list, id attribute, hyperlinks, unordered list, ordered list, tags, attributes, meta tags, special characters, images, and how to validate my code. This was done by concentrating just on the HTML portion
of the code, which I found to be really useful. -
Learn About CSS: Tri and Succeed Sports
This Tri and Succeed Sports activity was an excellent introduction to CSS, which was, in my view, much more difficult than the HTML component. The exercise was quite interesting, and I also appreciated the videos that accompanied the project, which I found to be particularly helpful in teaching how CSS works and how it relates to the HTML file and its associated code. In this activity, I gained a deeper understanding of the style hierarchy, various style rules, style precedence, and style inheritance. It also covers fundamental to advanced CSS capabilities, such as how to add comments to id attributes, ids, style properties, nested lists, padding, margin, pseudo-classes, font styles, as well as numerous CSS commands. Overall, it was a great lesson, but with a vast amount of new information. -
Pandaisia Chocolates
Pandaisia Chocolates was an excellent chance for continued CSS and HTML teaching that was more engaging and demanding than previous learning exercises. Again, I found the training videos that accompanied the assignment to be far more informative than the book, which I found to be pretty valuable in teaching the different Web page design techniques. During the course of this activity, I gained a deeper understanding of CSS and learned new things, such as how to set up a reset style sheet and different layouts, such as fluid layouts, elastic layouts, and grid layouts. In addition, I learned about floats, how to clear floats, the box model, absolute positioning, relative positioning, and handling content overflow. -
Dakota Listener Radio Website
Dakota Listener Radio provided a perfect occasion to continue studying HTML, which was incredibly interesting to learn while creating tables. Understanding how to create a table will be quite useful in the future for HTML since tables are essential to understand. In this assignment, I learned how to span rows and columns using the "rowspan" and "colspan" methods, as well as how to apply CSS to tables. Additionally, I learned how to add captions and combine cells. -
Tree and Book: The Komatsu Family
This exercise taught me how to add a background image and choices such as background attachment and position, borders image and styles, text shadows, box shadows, linear gradients, radial gradients, Opacity, transform, perspective, filters, and image maps using CSS. The task was extensive, but it was enjoyable to learn these new approaches. -
Red ball Pizza
In this exercise, I gained a lot of knowledge about forms, which was probably the most material I've ever seen jammed into a single task. It was surprising to realize how much information was covered in this Learning activity. In the activity, I learned about fields, about fields, processing form data, the form element, the action attribute the method attributes get and post, add a java script file, a legend, input elements, the type attribute, labels, the for attribute, the value attribute, text box controls, email and phone controls, a date widget, selection list controls, size attributes, multiple attributes, selected attribute, radio button controls, check box control, text area control, number control, a slider widget, a data list, command button, create a submit button, a reset button, required attribute, validating attribute, pattern attribute, the focus attribute, valid and finally the invalid. -
Tulsa New Year
During the course of participating in this exercise, I was able to get a comprehension of the principles of Java Script, such as how to write functions and how to store data in variables. My takeaway from participating in the activity is that it served as a helpful introduction to a more challenging topic and language than those that were covered in the activities that came before it. -
Lyman Hall Theater
The theater at Lyman Hall Learning exercise was a pretty daunting task that covered a variety of Java script loops, conditional statements, and JS Arrays-related topics. This Exercise was obscure to me, and I felt it rushed over a number of essential Java script topics that required additional time to properly grasp. I learned a few concepts during the activity, despite the fact that it was conducted at a rapid pace with a shorter explanation than previous learning activities. -
Japanese Puzzle Factory
By designing a puzzle that interacts with the user in real time, I was able to increase my knowledge of java script, as well as my comprehension and application of new functions. We altered the cursor, discovered how to set events in Java scripts, and expanded our use of functions and for loops as well as dived deep into debugging. -
Bridger Collage
During the duration of this educational endeavor, I was able to get familiar with a wide variety of new Java script commands, such as appendChild, setAttribute, and lastChild. In addition, I discovered how to use Javascript to generate an outline that has connections to other sections of the page. In addition to that, I became proficient in the use of JavaScript for the construction of styles and buttons. -
Coctura Home Kitchen
I learned a great lot about developing a website where customers can make purchases via this learning exercise. I was able to review many topics covered in previous activities, such as variables, manipulating numbers, querySelectorAll, functions, and data insertion, as well as learn new techniques, such as parseFloat, focus, minimumFractionDigits, maximumFractionDigits, nextSibling, and nodeValue, changing credit card default messages to custom, checking for valid credit cards, and more
