More about me

My name is Boe Mathewson and I was born in SLC, Utah on June 12, 1989. My favorite color is turquoise, which evokes the water in the Caribbean and other tropical areas, but I also like the contrast between red and black. Throughout my life, I have played several musical instruments, including the guitar, bass, violin, synthesizers, piano, and drums. My favorite instrument, though, is the voice, since I've always been attracted to the lyrics and significance of songs. I really like the sound of distorted electric guitars; the electric guitar is my second-favorite instrument among those I've played. My favorite musical genre is rock from the 1990s and early 2000s, such as Three Days Grace, Linkin Park, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, Sick Puppies, Skillet, and Red. I also like older 1980s bands, such as Journey, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Queen, AC/DC, Whitesnake, and many more. My life has been dominated by music, and for many years I traveled and performed with a range of prominent and exciting bands. I started playing my first instrument at the age of 18, although I have been a music enthusiast for much longer.

My Intrests in technology

In addition to instruments, I am really fascinated with programming and how it works so I have decided to make it my profession. Initially, I enrolled at a school called ECPI, but after a year I discovered that I was not learning well there and decided to transfer to the Computer Science program at Weber State University. So far, the school has been substantially more difficult than ECPI, but ultimately, it has been well worth it, since I have developed significantly more skills since transferring from ECPI to Weber University. Since then, I've developed a variety of skills, ranging from enhanced writing and communication to MIPS assembly programming. In addition to learning how to develop a website, I have been studying HTML, CSS, and Python recently. I am excited to learn more about my major.
